Her hair color may be ever changing but she always picks the right style for her oval shaped face. Even though this shape face has the freedom to go with almost any style, she still manages to choose only the best. Her usually long tresses are often parted in the middle, or slightly on the side with a lot of wave and volume. Her updo’s are sleek and sexy while her everyday style is romantic and pretty.

She has a square shaped face and always wears her hair in the best possible hairstyle for her. She puts the emphasis away from her jaw. She has a lot of texture and layers. Side swept bangs and curls placed in different positions are also great for square shaped faces.

Shorter hairstyles look best with this shape. Choose a style that is full at the temple but then tapers to the jawline. Victoria wears this style best. Try to avoid long full styles and center parts. Also avoid styles with too much height on the crown.

Reese Witherspoon in March of 2009 arriving at the “Monsters vs. Aliens” Los Angeles premiere. Reese has such a pretty heart shaped face.

This shape looks good with chin-length or longer hairstyles. Wearing a side-part, layers around the face, or wispy bangs is also a good look. Avoid hairstyles that put too much height at the crown or really short hairstyles that are too full.

A rectangle shape is long and slender. Generally short to medium hairstyles work the best. Although, as you can see with Gwyneth, a very long and straight style looks great on her. This is due to the fact that she doesn’t have a very full and thick full head of head. Her hair is fine and wispy, helping to soften the look of her features. Wispy bangs look good with this shape, as does wearing it wavy or curly off of the face. Try to avoid too much height when wearing hair in an updo.

Try hairstyles that make a round shaped face appear longer and narrower. To achieve this keep hair wavy and full and part off-center. Avoid full, straight bangs or short cuts at ear length.

Oval shaped faces have even proportions and just about any hairstyle looks good with this  shape. You can wear long, short or medium styles. Styles off of the face look exceptionally good, as do slicked-backed styles. Try to avoid heavy bangs as this will distract from your features.
